Baby Ella Born

On Monday, April 26, 2010, Ella Jane Vollmer was born. She weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces. My due date was May 4th (Andrew's birthday), but my doctor scheduled to induce me April 29th if I didn't have her yet (he figured I would).

Birthdays and Things

No, that is not a stuffed animal. It is our poor cat wearing Shaely's doll's dress.

A Little Update

Wow, I know it's been a while since I have did anything with my blog, but I didn't realize just how long it's been. My nephew, Nate, did receive his mission call to Chili, which is where my dad served his mission. He just went into the MTC last Wednesday. I need to find some pictures of my nephews and add them on here. On Thanksgiving my brother took pictures of each of our families. Oh yeah, also, I am expecting. This picture of my ultrasound is at 4 months. My due date is May 4th and so far it's a girl. Next Monday, the 21st, I will have my 20 week ultrasound.

It's really hard to take family pictures. Andrew - 11
Dallin - 9

Tanner - 5

Shaely - 3 with her chopped hair, I tried to even it out the best I could (she cut it two different times in just over a month)

Lydia - 19 months

My nephews are growing up!

OK, Mitchell is in the MTC now. I haven't heard from him since Monday night, when I told him my final goodbye and that he better write to me. Now my nephew, Nathan Tanner, is getting ready for his mission. As of Sunday July 19th his papers are in and now is waiting for his 'call'. He turns 19 in September. I didn't even know he could turn his papers in before his birthday. He is 3 days short of being 1 year younger than Mitchell. Now they'll both be out on their missions. Wow, is that cool or what? I am so proud of you guys and for the example that you are setting for your younger brothers and cousins.

Also, July 19th was our 12th wedding anniversary. This morning while at the temple, I saw a couple seated across from me waiting to get married. They were young and talking quietly back and forth. I couldn't help but think back to the day when I was sitting in that same spot with my soon to be husband, whispering back and forth hand in hand. Thoughts came to mind of how little I knew back then and how much I have grown since then. I am thankful for Jakob, for being such a patient and caring guy. I am thankful for those 12 wonderful, maybe a little challenging at times, but wonderful years with him.

My brother sent me this link for a free Fisher Price Precious Places DVD. It is episode 1 the Princess saves the ball. There's no cost at all for the DVD or shipping and handling so you don't have to enter any credit card info. I went a head and ordered one. Here is the link:

Mitchell's papers are in

My nephew Mitchell Tanner is getting ready to go on a mission. As of last Sunday, April 12th, all of his paper work and everything was completed so now is the wait for 'the call'. I am excited for him and to see where he will be going.
