Shaely's Memorable Doctor Visit

I took Shaely to the doctor for her 4 year check up on May 20, 2010. When Dr. Hanks checked her ears he could see something greenish colored in one of them. I said, "you've got to be kidding."
A year ago he found something, same description, in both of her ears. He tried to get them out with his little gadgets but to no avail. So he sent us over to the E.N.T. Specialist. She flushed out a little fish tank rock out of both ears. We had some spill on the ground in our back yard, little did I know she would come along and put them in her ears!
So sometime within the last year she did it again. This time, after he fiddled with it, he had the nurse try to flush it out. It was interesting to watch. It took three tries before it floated out of her ear. You can see earwax on the one end of it. We'll see next year if she learned anything from this experience. :)

Ella's Baby Blessing

On Sunday, May 16, 2010, Ella was blessed. We figured it was a good day to do it since Jakob's brother Nate was here from Arkansas. Afterwards we went to his parents' house for dinner and family get-together. Ella - 5/14/2010

Grandma Genevie's Funeral

On Sunday, May 9th, Jakob's grandma Genevie Vollmer Passed away. That was also the day that Andrew was ordained a Deacon at Church. Her funeral was held Thursday, May 13th in Meridian and buried in Boise at the Veterans Cemetery.

She was a great lady who did so much to help people out. I remember a few times when she bought us groceries, pajamas or clothes for the kids, or books just because she was out shopping and thought of us. She was very involved with the humanitarian aid. I remember early in our marriage, visiting her and seeing all these cute little dresses that she made to donate to the DI to be shipped to third world countries. I was so impressed. I often think of her example and try to apply it to my own life.

A Little Update

Wow, I know it's been a while since I have did anything with my blog, but I didn't realize just how long it's been. My nephew, Nate, did receive his mission call to Chili, which is where my dad served his mission. He just went into the MTC last Wednesday. I need to find some pictures of my nephews and add them on here. On Thanksgiving my brother took pictures of each of our families. Oh yeah, also, I am expecting. This picture of my ultrasound is at 4 months. My due date is May 4th and so far it's a girl. Next Monday, the 21st, I will have my 20 week ultrasound.

It's really hard to take family pictures. Andrew - 11
Dallin - 9

Tanner - 5

Shaely - 3 with her chopped hair, I tried to even it out the best I could (she cut it two different times in just over a month)

Lydia - 19 months
